Keep Our 20mph Zones

Rishi Sunak and the Conservative government are reviewing whether to stop local councils from deciding if they can have 20mph zones in their area. These zones are found in 10 areas across Medway, and have been proved successful in reducing air pollution as well as making roads safer for drivers and pedestrians. The Medway Liberal Democrats want to keep them where they work and let local residents not central government decide if they want more. Therefore we the undersigned are calling on the government to stop their attack on 20mph zones and local councils, who are just trying to make their streets safer for their residents.
